Summer Must-Haves

I have a line of cup cozies that are perfect for summer. When I am sitting and sipping on a nice icy cold drink, I hate it when the condensation on the glass or cup drips down onto my lap! These cozies catch all water coming off the cup, and absorbs it. Also great when I'm sitting at my computer, so when I pick up my glass I don't drip any water onto my keyboard. I have several at home that I use, and in my shop I have tons of colors to choose from. This summer, use a cozy coaster to keep your lap, computer and everything else dry and condensation-free! Kitchen Towels

I've added a line of kitchen towels with crocheted tops that can be hung on stoves, fridges and cabinets. They are so handy to dry your hands on in the kitchen. People with toddlers and little children like that they can't be pulled off of the handles where they're hanging too. Right now I'm doing a spring/Easter line and soon I'll be adding themes such as coffee, vines, sunflowers, daisies, roosters and more! They are a great value at $4 each plus shipping too. Facebook 500 Fan Contest Now Over!

I held a contest over the last week to celebrate my 500 fans on my Facebook page. I asked that anyone who wants to enter pick their favorite item from my shop and post it on my wall. For extra entries they could post that item on their own Facebook page, or purchase something from my shop. It was fun to see the different items that each person chose and gave me an idea for what is most popular in my shop.

The item that was the most popular was my newest, Burgundy & Black Crochet Purse or Tote Bag with Flower. (pictured above) I found this pretty interesting, although it won by a small margin over a couple other items that were tied. I plan on making more purses and bags eventually and see how they do!

Spring is Coming!

Cream Cotton Shrug - Elegance

With Spring just a hop, skip and a jump away, I'm promoting my creations that aren't too warm, and not too cool. I have beautiful shrugs that are lacy and airy, to wear with jeans and a tank or with a pretty spring skirt and a cami. Either way they are a nice way to keep your shoulders a little warmer than just wearing sleeveless tops alone, without making you too hot. I have finally listed my very first pattern for sale! Actually, it's 3 patterns included on one PDF format document. I wrote out the patterns for my thread hearts, then had two testers try them out to make sure there were no errors. Now I have them listed for sale in my ArtFire Shop.

Working on Patterns

I've been working hard on my first set of patterns to list in my shop. I have a few testers trying them out to make sure they make sense and isn't any confusion in them. I hope to be able to list them in the next week. The first one will be a set of 3 hearts, and I will list it around $3.00 with no shipping since it will be digitally sent. I'm really excited about this new venture for my business! If this set sells well, I will be writing out more patterns to put up for sale as well. Adding Patterns to My Shop

I'm thinking of adding patterns to my shop. I have made several crochet patterns up over the years and people ask me for specific patterns often. I wrote some out and need testers to make sure there are no errors and everything is understandable on my pattern. If you are interested in testing patterns, leave a comment here. The first patterns I might add are some pretty lacy hearts as shown in the photo. I think patterns would be a nice addition to my shop, and they are easy because no shipping costs are involved since we're in the digital age. My daughter has an ArtFire shop that I'd like to share with you all. She has won one award in the county for her art, and is up for another one this year! She has a few paintings for sale, like the one shown above, the night scene. She gets better and better each year, and sold a painting today actually!

She also makes bookmarks, repurposed out of greeting cards, scrapbook paper, or cardstock. Sometimes she uses paint on them, sometimes not. She uses the money she makes on the bookmarks to put toward buying painting supplies.
