Facebook 500 Fan Contest Now Over!

I held a contest over the last week to celebrate my 500 fans on my Facebook page. I asked that anyone who wants to enter pick their favorite item from my shop and post it on my wall. For extra entries they could post that item on their own Facebook page, or purchase something from my shop. It was fun to see the different items that each person chose and gave me an idea for what is most popular in my shop.

The item that was the most popular was my newest, Burgundy & Black Crochet Purse or Tote Bag with Flower. (pictured above) I found this pretty interesting, although it won by a small margin over a couple other items that were tied. I plan on making more purses and bags eventually and see how they do!

Thanks to everyone who entered my contest. There will be a separate blog post announcing the winner after they are notified!

Pier 1 is My Source for Decorating this Spring

This post brought to you by Pier 1. All opinions are 100% mine.

I've got Spring Fever and I'm jumping into Spring before it even arrives on March 20.   I've already done my Spring cleaning, and am now getting ready to update my yard, plant my garden and buy some new patio and outdoor furniture.  My absolute favorite place to shop for all of these items is Pier 1 Imports.  They always have an amazing selection of unique, interesting pieces.  A lot of the furniture they carry is actually indoor/outdoor, which is a bonus since it can be used inside or on the patio or porch. I love that they have coordinating rugs and decor to go with the furniture as well, so I can really decorate my area nicely without spending a fortune.

I'm really excited about a contest going on at Pier 1 also.  Sign up there for an in-store special offer on March 18- 20.  Click here to sign up for the Pier 1 Outdoor newsletter.

Outdoor Swingasan

I love this swingasan, which is like a papasan only it swings.  I think it would look amazing on my porch and would be a comfy spot to sit and read whether it's sunny or rainy outside.  The price is very reasonable and it is so unique!  There are other papasans and swingasans as well, so check them out on the site.  I want to update my patio as well, so I would love to buy a mosaic table to spice up the decor.  This one really caught my eye, so colorful and has a sunflower which is one of my favorite flowers.

Atlanta: April 5th
NYC: April 20th

I can't wait to update and decorate my outdoor areas, both my porch and backyard patio.  Pier 1 makes it so easy and affordable, and gives me a space all my own to enjoy this spring and summer.

Spring is Coming!

With Spring just a hop, skip and a jump away, I'm promoting my creations that aren't too warm, and not too cool. I have beautiful shrugs that are lacy and airy, to wear with jeans and a tank or with a pretty spring skirt and a cami. Either way they are a nice way to keep your shoulders a little warmer than just wearing sleeveless tops alone, without making you too hot. I'm trying to get a few new ones finished soon to add to my shop. Here is what I have for shrugs right now...

Even Busy Moms Can Give Kids Good Nutrition!

This post brought to you by Zooppa. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am SuperMommy. I work from home, take care of five kids, run my household and make dinner for my family.  I also enjoy hobbies and spending a little time on myself every day.   I make the time to make sure my family gets nutritious meals every day even though I'm doing all of these things!  It's not always easy but being a powerful, strong woman, I can do it when I put my mind to it.  Sometimes I make dinners that are time consuming and difficult, doing everything from scratch (just to show off!) but other times I just don't have the time or energy after a long day of working and doing all of the necessary family things that are required of SuperMommy's.

On the days I don't have a lot of time, I like to make easy meals like Hormel Compleats.  They are awesome for lunch or for dinner, because they are so simple to make and they ensure my family is getting the right nutrition.  Coming from Hormel, I know that the meats and vegetables are of the best quality.  They don't have to be refrigerated, so they are easy to pack up in my kids' lunch boxes along with an apple for a nutritious lunch at school.  I can eat them too, and since I work from home, it's easy to walk to the kitchen and put one in the microwave!

Check out Hormel's Life Better Served contest for 3 great ways to win.   You can submit a video to Hormel.com.  You could also submit a video to Zooppa to try to win.  And lastly, you can share the Life Better Served Contest with 5 friends by clicking the "share" button on Zooppa.com to be entered to win $3,000 in the sweepstakes drawing.  Winning this contest would sure help me to purchase a lot of Hormel Compleats, and many other things to make my busy life easier!

Injured...

I haven't posted in quite awhile and thought I should explain why... I fell and dislocated my ribs! I went to the doctor and they couldn't do anything for me. Then my Sister-in-Law asked if I had a chiropractor. I didn't, but made an appointment with one hoping for some relief! I'm so glad I did because he has helped me so much. I'm still in some pain but nothing like before. Once I finish with his treatment and keeping ice on the ribs, I should be a lot better. I can walk around again thank God, and that's a big bonus! When I arrived and we started talking, I discovered that not only is he a Christian, but he goes to my church! I was so happy to find that out, and we had much to talk about after that. Anyway, I'll be posting a little here and there again. Bear with me as I recover. Thank you all!
